The Challenge

In Harper and Pleebo Sodoken Districts, hardworking rural farmers face entrenched poverty. Despite relentless labor, structural barriers exclude families from fair market access, modern tools, and shared resources.

Our Solution

RFEN shifts the paradigm from vulnerable individuals to powerful organized collectives. By grouping farmers, we build resilient micro-economies resistant to systemic neglect.

Key Interventions

  • Group Ownership: All tools and equipment owned collectively with transparent group governance
  • Training: Hands-on practical training in farming, record-keeping, post-harvest handling, and value addition
  • Processing Equipment: Two high-capacity cassava processing machines to eliminate post-harvest losses
  • Replication: Reinvested profits enable the model to cascade to new groups across the region

Expected Impact

  • ✓ 38 farmers gain meaningful income from collective production
  • ✓ Families achieve food security and educational access
  • ✓ Communities build resilience against poverty cycles
  • ✓ Model replicates to new groups, multiplying impact
